One Circle and Two Lines
One of my early generative art systems
Take me to the art!
I was hosting a workshop with DOIIIT studio last year and decided to make a tutorial to teach generative art. Honestly, I didn't know where to begin. There are too many things to cover, and I was also new to the field. I decided to make a challenge that would encourage workshop attendees to write some code, so here's what I came up with:
Design a coloring page with one circle and two lines in a grid.
I list the teaching slide I used in HERE if you are interested in learning more. In the end, I got too obsessed with the coloring page, so I decided to make an auto coloring program for the pages I generated. The coloring process broke the one circle two lines rule, but I am still happy with the result .
Here are some examples to look through. You can click here to view the live system . Refreshing the page will give you a new design. It is possible to see a blank page because of the random color and stroke setting. Just refresh the page!
